Israel Aid Worker to Newsmax: Hamas Attack Worse Than Holocaust

By    |   Thursday, 26 October 2023 01:01 PM EDT

Jonny Daniels, founder of From the Depths, told Newsmax Thursday that the brutality of the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel could be worse than the war crimes Nazi Germany inflicted on the Jewish people.

“What we're seeing now is potentially even worse than what we saw in the past,” Daniels said during an appearance on Newsmax’s “National Report.” “The Nazi Germans were evil, but they attempted to hide their crimes. These guys — these Hamas Nazis, these ISIS evil, evil people — they're filming it. They’re live-streaming it to the world.”

Daniels went on to paint a grim scene.

“Granddaughters found out that their grandmothers were murdered because they filmed it live on her Facebook. This is insane. And what we're seeing today is absolutely pure evil.

"There's no other way of looking at this. This isn't a complicated issue that some people are trying to make it. This is good versus evil."

“What's going on is awful. The rise of antisemitism is through the roof, ” Daniels continued. “I was in London last week, where I'm from originally. [There’s been a] 10,000% rise in antisemitic attacks in London, which is unheard of. People are petrified.

"Jews who have the symbol on their door post are putting them inside their homes. Families are scared of sending their children to school. This isn't normal. This is a petrifying time and a very, very scary time when it's also lucky why we have friends like you who are standing beside us and making sure that we don't feel alone because it's pretty lonely at the moment.

"We do need all the friends that we can to stand with us and make sure that we aren't alone in this difficult time.”

Daniels said that his organization deals with “Holocaust memory memorial” but was brought in to assist as Israel works to free the more than 200 hostages taken by Hamas.

“We've been working with Holocaust survivors for years all around the world, and over the last couple of weeks, we've been brought in, like a lot of other people, to step up and help and do what we can,” he said. “So, we've been working with the families of the hostages in helping them to get in touch with foreign governments when they are able to, to apply pressure, to come to the media to tell their stories to make sure that people understand that what happened is more than a war crime. Babies taken, grandmothers.

"Holocaust survivors ripped from their homes taken into captivity by ISIS. This is horrifying, truly horrifying.”

Daniels said that over the last few weeks, he has met with “over 100 Holocaust survivors” and many have called him to talk on the phone.

“Most of the conversations, they're not really conversations,” Daniels said. “They’re just listening to them cry. The tears of these people that have been through hell on earth once again having to relive that and watch it again.”
