MILAN (AP) — The humanitarian group Save the Children says its office in Milan has been the target of a skinhead protest.
Save the Children said a skinhead group based in the neighboring region of Veneto left a banner on its office near the Milan train station that read "Save the Children, Save the Business."
The group put out a statement saying they were protesting Save the Children's actions to help migrants.
Save the Children says it has filed a formal complaint against the skinhead group with authorities.
Save the Children director Valerio Neri said "we have arrived at a paradox that whoever helps save human lives has become the target for hatred and violence." He said the organization would continue its mission of helping minors in Italy.
