LIGNET: Cease-fire Won't Hold; Israel Likely to Invade Gaza

A cease-fire between Hamas and Israel was scheduled to go into effect at 2 p.m. But it’s not likely that the eight-day conflict has ended. The cease-fire papered over and did not address major points of disagreement that are unlikely to simply be laid to rest. The expert opinion of LIGNET’s top analysts is that this conflict will continue to fester over the coming days, with missiles exchanged between Israel and Gaza and Israel compelled to invade Gaza with ground troops to destroy launch positions.
