PARIS - Carla Bruni has complained that she cannot have sex 'as much as she would like' since becoming France's First Lady, a new book claims.
The 42-year-old former supermodel said her physical needs are going ignored because her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, is too busy with affairs of state.
'The press of state business prevented her husband from making love to her as much as she would like,' writes Jonathan Alter, an influential American journalist in a new book about Barack Obama’s presidency.

His latest vignette about life at the Elysee Palace follows the revelation yesterday that the Sarkozys once kept a head of state waiting while they enjoyed a passionate love-making session.
That steamy revelation, passed on by Ms Bruni to Michelle Obama, has led to speculation that the dignitary in question may even have been the Queen.
The Sarkozys spent a night at Windsor Castle a few weeks after their marriage two years ago on an official trip to the UK.
According to the new book, Ms Bruni and her American counterpart Michelle Obama discussed their sex lives during a meeting in the USA.
But it was only Ms Bruni who admitted that her love life with President Sarkozy, 55, had held up their official programme.
