U.S. House Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday he strongly disagreed with the assertion that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming speech to Congress would be destructive to U.S.-Israeli relations.

"I couldn't disagree more," Boehner said at a new conference in reference to a comment from Susan Rice, President Barack Obama's national security adviser.

Rice warned against allowing the U.S.-Israeli relationship to be reduced to a party political issue, saying it would be destructive.
