VIENTIANE, Laos (AP) — President Barack Obama has invited the four congressional leaders to a meeting Monday.
That's according to an official familiar with the meeting who requested anonymity to disclose it because it hasn't been officially announced by the White House.
Obama has invited Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, House Speaker Paul Ryan and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to the White House meeting.
The meeting is expected to focus on the agenda for the final months of the year, including Obama's push to ratify the Trans-Pacific Partnership and funding to combat the Zika virus.
Congress returned from its summer recess this week. Obama is returning to Washington Friday from a nine-day trip to Asia.
