ROME (AP) — The owner of the jewels stolen from a Venetian palace exhibit this week has revealed details about the precious gems, saying the brooch featured a flawless 10-carat diamond while the pair of earrings featured two pear-shaped 30.2-carat diamonds.

The Al Thani Collection hasn't revealed the pieces' value, but news reports estimate they are worth millions of euros. Both pieces were designed by Bhagat, the exclusive Mumbai jeweler.

Surveillance footage of the theft Wednesday at the Doge's Palace in Venice show one of the thieves calmly opening the showcase window, putting the jewels in his pocket and sauntering off. Police say the alarm was triggered a minute late, giving the thieves time to escape.

The jewels were taken on the last day of the exhibit "Treasures of the Mughals and the Maharajas."
