President Donald Trump hasn't fully brought Christmas back to the White House, the Washington Examiner reported.
Invitations sent to reporters requested their presence at the White House "Holiday Reception," the Examiner reported, despite the president's promise to make "Merry Christmas" great again.
The email invitations — subject line and body — denote "White House Christmas Reception," just not the formal invite.
During a speech last month, Trump promised, "you will be saying Merry Christmas again."
"You go to the stores and they have the red walls, and they have the snow, and they even have the sleigh and the whole thing. They don't have Merry Christmas," Trump said. "I want them to say Merry Christmas, everybody. Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, but I want Merry Christmas. We will say it again."
