State police say as many as 90 vehicles have crashed on both sides of Interstate 94 in southwestern Michigan.
Inspector Tracey McAndrew says injuries have been reported Friday. He says there are some vehicle fires as a result of the pileups, but that he has no other details.
The crashes are located between mile markers 88 and 92 in eastern Kalamazoo County. McAndrew says slick roads may have been a factor. He says people who aren't injured are being taken to warming centers.
Elsewhere in Michigan, crashes closed major roads in Monroe, Saginaw, Kent and Genesee counties.
