Authorities say a swing ride at a festival in Connecticut lost power and sent children falling to the ground, injuring 13 of them.
Police say most of the children suffered minor injuries and were treated Sunday at the Oyster Festival in Norwalk, but several were more seriously hurt and rushed to local hospitals. Their conditions aren't available.
The ride starts on the ground and sends swings into the air. Authorities say it lost power and the children in the swings fell to the ground. It wasn't clear how far off the ground they were when they fell.
Police say the festival remains open but all rides are closed.
Norwalk police have called in the state fire marshal's office to investigate.
