President Donald Trump said Chuck Schumer’s claims that the U.S. doesn’t have enough testing is a “false talking point.”

The president tweeted Friday morning that the Senate Democratic Leader “knows we have done a great job on Testing, just like we have on Ventilators and everything else.”

“He lied, gave NY SALT.” Trump tweeted about Schumer's Thursday night appearance on CBS's "The Late Show."

Trump continued to hit Schumer in a second tweet saying he has “brought very little back to NY” compared to what other senators have done for their states.

“A totally overrated loser,” Trump said of Schumer.

Schumer told host Stephen Colbert that he has repeatedly asked the president for a national testing plan.

He said testing is the key to reopening the country and said the lack of tests available is one of the “mysteries and huge shortfalls of the Trump administration.”

Schumer said he doesn’t know why Trump is so resistant to implementing the Defense Production Act, which would force companies to prioritize produce tests.

“It’s a mystery,” he said of why Trump won’t use it for testing, adding he just used the DPA for meat factories.

“Why can’t he do it for testing, which is essential,” Schumer said. “I don’t get it, no one gets it.”

Trump ended his tweet with a message to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who could challenge Schumer in 2022.

"Run AOC!," Trump said.
