Trafalgar Group CEO Robert Cahaly, who is once again predicting an Electoral College victory for President Donald Trump, said he is basing his path for the president's reelection on the fact many independents have not voted yet, and they are concerned about the economy.
He also told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo on Monday the Black vote could help decide Trump's victory.
"People are worried about the economy and don't believe another shutdown, no matter what the circumstances are, is justified," Cahaly told Bartiromo. "Everybody is satisfied with what they have to do, distancing and wearing masks, washing hands. Shutting the economy down is not something anybody is willing to live with."
And as a result, voters such as blue-collar workers, mothers with children at home, college students ready to get back to normal, and more are moving toward voting for Trump, said Cahaly.
He added there are also many people who are hesitant to reveal their true feelings for polls, including in the Hispanic and African-American communities.
"Every time another Black leader comes forward and says they are with Trump makes people less shy about declaring they are for Trump," said Cahaly, adding the Black vote could also help decide the election.
"I really think reelecting Trump will stand in that place because of the Black vote that he got, and it will be pretty much impossible for this community to be minimalized again or taken for granted by either party," he said.
