An editor at the progressive website ThinkProgress sent out a tweet in response to the killings of three Baton Rouge police officers on Sunday, saying black people were "taking justice into their own hands."

Zack Ford, editor of ThinkProgress' LGBT section tweeted:

"Given how police haven't been held accountable for murdering black people, it's no surprise some are taking justice into their own hands."

Ford deleted his tweet, but many people took a screenshot of it. He then elaborated further that his point was not in favor of violence:

An editorial in The Wall Street Journal noted that the ThinkProgress website is owned by the Center for American Progress, whose president is John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign chairman.

The Journal's James Taranto writes that he believes there is a double standard between reactions to conservative supporters and liberals.

For liberal comments, "somehow they are never held to account for their most invidious supporters." Adding, "don't hold your breath waiting for Hillary Clinton to disavow Zack Ford."
