Actress Susan Sarandon slammed both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic National Committee, during an appearance on CNN to discuss the Dakota Access Pipeline.
According to the actress, the DNC is "completely corrupt" and both candidates from the two major parties are "un-trustable."
"We've been voting for the lesser of two evils for too long," the Academy Award-winner told CNN's Carol Costello.
Sarandon recently announced her support for the Green Party's Jill Stein, rather than either Trump or Clinton.
"I wanted to vote for somebody who in some way is concerned about the things that concern me," she said.
"After my experience in the primary it's very clear to me that ... the DNC is gone. We need a progressive party," she added. "So if [Stein] can get 5 percent the next time around, that means that we can have a really viable third party."
Sarandon supported Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primaries, but did not throw in with Clinton after he endorsed her, though she "absolutely" still has admiration for the senator.
"The good news, if you want some good news, is that everybody's so frustrated that at least we're awake," she said at the end of the interview.
Sarandon announced her support for Stein via a letter now posted on the candidate's website, saying she supports the Green Party nominee "because she does stand for everything I believe in," unlike Clinton.
"Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption," it reads. "It's clear a third party is necessary and viable at this time. And this is the first step in accomplishing this end."
"Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience," she concluded.
