She's not sure who it was, but it appeared not only was someone monitoring former CBS investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson's computer and phone, they also wanted her to know they were doing it.
Attkisson, an award-winning journalist,
worked at CBS for over two decades before resigning earlier this year, frustrated that the network wasn't running her investigative stories on politics and consumer issues.

She told "Fox & Friends" the computer hacking was "very fast wiping" that deleted questions she was crafting to ask Ambassador Thomas Pickering of the Accountability Review Board about the 2012 bombing of the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
"This was described to me by the experts who looked at it afterwards as an attempt to let me know they could do that. This was many months after three separate computer forensics analyses had said there were these remote intrusions in my computer," Attkisson said Tuesday.

The Hollywood Reporter that CBS executives hired a computer forensics team that agreed "there had been (a) highly sophisticated remote intrusion of my computers," but were unable to determine who had done it.
"I have been told by two computer forensics experts that a highly sophisticated entity using abilities outside nongovernment resources, using software proprietary, either to the DIA, CIA, FBI, or NSA made repeat remote intrusions into both my computers over a period of time. And, we have evidence of a government computer connection into my computer system," Attkisson told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.
Attkisson told "Fox & Friends" her cell phone had also been affected, with sounds, clicking off, and calls going straight to voicemail. She said at the time she thought it was the fault of her phone, until someone questioned it.
"At the time, I thought the phone was just messed up, until I had sources approach me and say that they thought the phone sounded tapped, but the kind of tapped they want you to hear.
"Because, of course, if the government or some entity wants to tap your phone, you'll never know it, if it's done properly. But, sources I have say that kind of activity could be an indication that they actually wanted you to know," she said.
A source within the government then suggested taking a look at the wiring at Attkisson's house.
"He called and said there was an extra fiber optics wire that didn't belong. I don't know why it was there to this day. But, I can tell you that Verizon said it didn't belong. They came and removed it," she said.
Although Attkisson took a picture of the wire, she said it has since disappeared.
Attkisson said she was approached to write a book about her experiences at CBS, but explained questions about someone hacking into her computer or tapping her phone were not generally known at that time. "Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington" was released Tuesday.
Attkisson said while at CBS she began to sense ideological problems with network executives at the "gatekeeper level in New York," because they wouldn't air her stories.
She said it not only included "political stories, but corporate fraud, consumer misconduct, almost anything that challenged powers that be."
