Palin Scorns 'Selfies' in Random Facebook Post

By    |   Tuesday, 14 January 2014 08:11 PM EST

The so-called "selfie" that is popularizing personal picture-taking and has everyone from teenagers to professional athletes to the president posing for them has been panned by Alaska's Sarah Palin, Politico reported.

"I think this world would be better off having more young women holding a fish in their picture than holding their camera in front of a bathroom mirror, taking a selfie," Palin posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

The former Republican vice-presidential candidate is currently promoting her new television show "Amazing America."   More than 47,000 and counting Facebook users have "liked" the post, which shows a T-shirt clad Palin wearing waders.
