A 1911 pistol was once owned by Sammy Davis Jr. was turned in to Los Angeles police over the weekend in a gun buyback program.

Davis' vintage .45-caliber pistol was among 791 guns exchanged for gift cards to Ralph's grocery stores, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

The program is anonymous, so no information was available on the pistol's donor or its history. Such pistols from 1911 cost more than $350, the Times reports.

The weapons redeemed over the weekend included 364 handguns, 237 rifles, 144 shotguns, 42 assault-style weapons, and four weapons that did not fit a certain category, according to the report.
