Two Nabbed for Trying to 'Crash' Romney Fundraiser

Monday, 09 July 2012 09:10 AM EDT

Two men were arrested Sunday for trying to crash a high-end Mitt Romney campaign fundraiser in New York when a sailboat they were in collided with a police vessel, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

Apparently the only way into the event at the East Hampton, Long Island, home of Revlon Inc. Chairman Ronald Perelman was over water, according to local police, who said two men from the neighboring town of Wainscott tried to cross Georgica Pond to gain entry.

The two were identified as David Fink and Simon Kinsella, the Tribune reported. They were charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing government administration.
