Ann Romney, wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, says campaign travel does represent a grind, but there’s an upside: free wireless Internet service.
She told former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on his new talk radio show Wednesday that her number one priority when finding a hotel room for her and Mitt is free Wi-Fi service,
The Hill reports.
"It's so convenient just to be able to get your Internet," Ann Romney said. "I personally like Hampton Inn, but that's an aside."
As for the downside of helping her husband on the campaign trail, “it is tiring,” she said. “You do it, and then you get up and do the same thing the next day. And then you get up and do it the next day. It just goes on and on and on." Ann Romney joked that after weeks in a row of travel, her "clothes aren't looking so great."
But she likes the opportunity to see new places and encounter new acquaintances. "You make new friends,” she said. “I mean, you see parts of the country you would never see otherwise. So there is the good and bad that comes with it, and I always like to remind myself what an extraordinary experience it is. It is not easy, no, but it is definitely worth it."
