Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, praised Donald Trump, saying the president is working hard on behalf of the nation.
His comments came Friday during an interview on television’s “Fox & Friends.”
Kraft said the president has been “very supportive.” He added: “Well, we can use every fan who wants to support us from wherever they are in their standard of life.”
And Kraft said: “I know (Trump) is working very hard to serve the best interest of the country. “
Kraft has been viewed as a Trump supporter. However, the two men differed in the past on the issue of players’ protests during the national anthem. Kraft had expressed support for “intelligent, thoughtful” NFL players and said there is nothing “more divisive than politics.”
Kraft’s Patriots will play the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
