Actor Robert De Niro's company is suing a former employee who allegedly charged hundreds of thousands in personal expenses to the company card, and wasted dozens of work hours watching Netflix, NBC News reports.

Canal Productions filed a lawsuit against Graham Chase Robinson, the former vice president of production and finance, alleging she acted in breach of "her fiduciary duties, violation of the faithless service doctrine and conversion," after being promoted in 2017 to a position that involves overseeing the use of company funds by employees.

"Robinson's position required Mr. De Niro to place full faith, trust, and confidence in her that she would carry out her duties and responsibilities in Canal's best interests, mindfully overseeing the finances and other employees," the lawsuit states.

The lawsuit contends Robinson improperly charged hundreds of thousands in personal expenses to the company's American Express card, as well as using Canal's petty cash fund for personal items and putting in false information to get compensated for 96 "unused" days of vacation, as well as "binge-watching astounding hours of TV shows on Netflix" during company time.

"For example, over the 4-day period between Tuesday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, 55 episodes of 'Friends' were accessed (which carried over to an impressive 32 episodes on Saturday, Jan. 12 alone)," the lawsuit states.

Robinson resigned in April 2019. Canal is seeking $3 million in damages for her "disloyalty and violation or the faithless servant doctrine," and an additional $3 million to cover the value of the funds and property she allegedly "misappropriated."
