"Greenlight" rapper Pitbull joined Education Secretary Betsy DeVos on Thursday at the performer's Sports Leadership and Management Academy charter school in Miami.
The rapper – who has three of his six children enrolled in charter schools – and DeVos, a proponent of vouchers and charter schools, were seen talking to students during the visit, The Hill reported.
Since opening the school in 2013, the rapper – given name is Armando Christian Pérez – has opened another campus in West Palm Beach and one in Nevada, Education Week reported.
SLAM's middle- and high-school divisions both received a C grade from the Florida Department of Education’s accountability rating system, Education Week reported.
Pitbull, who performed at a fundraiser at the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, has said multiple politicians have tried to solicit his endorsement over the years, according to The Hill.
But he's so far resisted.
"I'm not here to be part of any political party," he told BuzzFeed News in 2015.
