Fox News has settled several racial and gender discrimination cases for $10 million, according to news reports.

The first lawsuit was started in March 2017 by two African-American women employees in the payroll department, claiming they had faced "top-down racial harassment," Fortune.com reports.

The lawsuit quickly expanded into a class action involving nine more plaintiffs, including anchor Kelly Wright, who alleged his career advancement at the network was limited by racial discrimination.

Wright announced Tuesday, along with Fox's disclosure of the settlements, he was leaving the company to "pursue new opportunities," Fortune reports.

In addition, a gender discrimination action was filed by Fox Radio correspondent Jessica Golloher, who alleged last May that she had been marginalized as a woman — and a local Fox correspondent had accused the cable network of pregnancy discrimination.

"The parties have reached mutual agreements that resolve various cases involving former Fox News employees," the company and its law firm, Wigdor Law in New York, said in a statement.

No figures were disclosed, but The Wall Street Journal reported that the settlements totaled $10 million.
