Franklin Graham set aside Sunday as a "Special Day of Prayer" for President Donald Trump to protect him from his enemies, a move which brought retweets and thanks from the president.
"I don't believe any president in the history of this nation has been attacked more than Donald Trump," Evangelist Graham announced earlier this week. "He is our president and if he succeeds, we all benefit.
"But if his enemies are allowed to destroy him and pull down the presidency, it will hurt our entire nation."
President Trump retweeted a number of posts covering Graham's prayer day, tweeting Saturday:
"We will all stick together and WIN! Thank you Franklin."
While Graham has shown his support for the president in the past, he promised to CBN News Channel the special day of prayer for the president was not a partisan call.
"This is not a political endorsement," he told CBN's Jenna Browder on Saturday. "It's just simply praying for the president."
While Graham has made the request for the prayer among evangelists, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., might have started the idea of praying for the president with her comments she was doing so when President Trump pulled out of working with Democrats on infrastructure.
