The rapper Pitbull has joined forces with a group that includes former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush that is trying to purchase the Miami Marlins baseball team.
The Miami Herald reports that Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Peréz, is now working with Bush, Tagg Romney, CNBC host Marcus Lemonis, and Wayne Rothbaum as they pursue ownership of the team.
According to ThePostGame, Pitbull is from Miami and worked as a DJ at Marlins games before he became an internationally known rapper. Pitbull regularly hosts events in and around the Miami area.
Two other groups are competing for ownership of the team. One group includes retired New York Yankees star Derek Jeter. Bush briefly teamed up with Jeter to buy the team before they went their separate ways.
