House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., will speak at the March for Life, an annual anti-abortion rally, planned for Washington next week, The Hill is reporting.
"Speaker Ryan has been an unwavering champion for the pro-life cause since taking office, and continues to utilize his post to promote the inherent dignity of the human person at all stages of life," March for Life President Jeanne Mancini said.
The march is expected to draw more than 100,000 people, organizers say. Mike Pence was the first sitting vice president to address the rally last year, according to The Hill.
The Washington Examiner noted Ryan is among a handful of lawmakers now scheduled to speak at the Jan. 19 rally.
The report also said he has brought several anti-abortion measures to the House floor.
