President Barack Obama voted at a community center near his Chicago home on Thursday – making him the first sitting president to cast an early in-person vote.
Afterward, Obama talked with poll workers at the Martin Luther King Community Center on the city’s South Side and also greeted supporters, pausing to shake hands and pose for pictures,
WGN-TV reports.
The president’s plane, Air Force One, arrived at O'Hare International Airport just before 3:30 p.m.
Obama was greeted by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel before flying by helicopter into the city and then taken by motorcade to the King Community Center to vote, WGN reports.
Michelle Obama cast her vote by absentee ballot.
