Former President Barack Obama and his family tweeted out Thanksgiving wishes Thursday.

It's the Obamas' first Thanksgiving out of the White House in 8 years.

The last two years of his presidency, Barack Obama spent time around Thanksgiving at soup kitchens helping to feed the homeless and hungry.
