An exclusive New Jersey boarding school is under fire for its handling of an explicit sex tape made by two students.
The mother of a 16-year-old African American student has filed suit against Blair Academy, saying the school discriminated against her son when it expelled him for making the tape, but left his co-star, a white coed at Blair, unpunished, New Jersey 101.5 radio reports.
According to the complaint, the male student and his girlfriend filmed their sex act under a staircase of the private Blairstown, N.J., school and allowed friends to view the clips before deleting them. But the school booted the high-achieving male student.
New Jersey 101.5 says when the mother asked why the girl escaped punishment for sharing the video, a school official told her the students had different "intentions."
The official allegedly stating the girl was "the victim" and "was using her friends to console her when she showed them the video, whereas John Doe showed the video to his friends to brag and boast."
The radio station says school officials have declined to comment.
