At least three NBA teams — the Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, and Dallas Mavericks — will boycott Trump hotels for the rest of the 2016-2017 season in a bid to distance themselves from the controversial president-elect, sources tell ESPN.com.

The move follows unease over Donald Trump's election last week as the nation's 45th president.

The sources said the Bucks, Grizzlies and Mavericks are no longer checking into Trump hotels in New York City and Chicago.

As well, sources tell ESPN, another Eastern Conference team contracted to stay at the Trump SoHo in New York City "has likewise already decided to switch to a different property in Manhattan when its current contract expires."

Since Trump's victory, NBA coaches including Detroit's Stan Van Gundy, Golden State's Steve Kerr and San Antonio's Gregg Popovich have voiced their dismay about the president elect, with Van Gundy ripping the billionaire real-estate tycoon "openly and brazenly racist and misogynistic and ethnocentric."

In addition, Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban were both avid supporters of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
