Comedian Michelle Wolf led a four-piece marching band in a salute to abortions on her Netflix television show.
The performance was aired on Wolf's show, "The Break with Michelle Wolf."
Wolf, dressed in a red, white and blue outfit led the band on stage to the tune of "You're a Grand Old Flag."
"Abortion, I salute you," she said.
Throwing confetti in the air, she added: "Women if you need an abortion, get one. If you want an abortion, get one. If you're pregnant and you want to be pregnant, don't get one.
"It's up to you and it doesn't have to be a big deal. It's actually a great deal. It's about $300. That's like six movie tickets."
She concluded the segment by saying: "God bless abortions and God bless America."
According to The Hill, the controversial segment was shown during the week of July 4.
It came as President Donald Trump gets set to announce his nominee for the Supreme Court spot being vacated by Justice Anthony Kennedy. Many believe the president's pick could eventually tip the scales in overturning Roe v. Wade, the high court's landmark abortion decision.
Leading up to the salute, Wolf noted Kennedy's retirement and said: "It is almost certain Trump will try to replace him with someone who will overturn Roe v. Wade. It's so ironic that Trump could be the guy who ends legal abortions. That dude has been responsible for more abortions than the invention of back alleys."
And she noted: "Look, access to abortion is good and important. Some people say abortion is 'killing a baby.' It's not. It's stopping a baby from happening."
Wolf had come under criticism in April when she served as keynote speaker at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Administration supporters had lashed out at her bawdy takedown of the White House and Trump.
