Filmmaker Michael Moore says President-elect Donald Trump might not make it to the White House, that "something crazy" could happen, such as the Electoral College rejecting him or the real-estate mogul quitting.
"He's not president of the United States yet. He's not president until noon on January 20th of 2017," Moore said during an appearance on NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
"Would you not agree, regardless of which side of the political fence you're on, this has been the craziest election year? Nothing anyone has predicted has happened — the opposite happened. So is it possible — just possible — that in these next six weeks, something else might happen, something crazy, something we're not expecting?"
Trump might be realizing the difficulty of the tasks ahead of him as president, Moore said, "Now he's been told there's all this work to do."
"He may decide he wants to quit . . . He would say, 'It's too much, let Pencey run the country," referring to his Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
Meyers said he believed Trump would never admit that he wanted to quit.
"It would be something else. He would blame it on us," Meyers said.
The filmmaker cited the Electoral College, mentioning that one Republican elector said in the New York Times that he was not going to vote for Trump as he was required.
"We only need like, I don't know, 32 more," Moore said.
Meyers responded, "You're going to end up with one."
"Normal thinking says 'only one,'" Moore said "Don't have me back on next week after we've got five more."
Hillary Clinton's lead in the popular vote led Moore to slam the Electoral College.
"This would be like the Giants beating the Patriots 21 to 19, and the sportscaster going, 'It's too bad the Giants lost that game.'"
The documentarian also slammed Trump for not attending security briefings. He addressed Trump to the camera:
"With all due respect, Mr. President-elect, on our behalf, you have to pay attention, you have to attend these briefings. This is our country. This is our security. This is our safety. You're horsing around with all this nonsense, and you're not doing your No. 1 job, and the No. 1 job of the president is to make sure that the country is safe."

Before the election, Moore wrote an article on his site called "Five Reasons Trump Will Win."
"Do not discount the electorate's ability to be mischievous or underestimate how many millions fancy themselves as closet anarchists once they draw the curtain and are all alone in the voting booth . . . millions are going to vote for Trump not because they agree with him, not because they like his bigotry or ego, but just because they can."
