Basketball legend Michael Jordan said on Sunday that his "heart goes out to the family of George Floyd," the man who died while being detained by police in Minneapolis.
"Our unified voice needs to put pressure on leaders to change our laws, or else we need to use our vote to create systemic change," Jordan wrote in a tweet. "Every one of us needs to be part of the solution, and we must work together to ensure justice for all."
"We have had enough," he added.
Jordan's statement comes after days of violent protests around the country. Police have been attacked, protesters have been hospitalized and killed, and public officials have been maced in cities around the country.
President Donald Trump and other national official have shown remorse over Floyd's death and have called for peace during this time of crisis.
