Media Watchdog 'Surrounds' Liberal Media in Truth Quest

Tuesday, 05 October 2010 02:38 PM EDT

A media watchdog has sent several of the last American cowboys to surround what it considers lost sheep to drive home the message that the truth will set them free. The Media Research Center’s four billboard trucks emblazoned with the message “Stop the Liberal Bias, Tell the Truth!” will keep circling the Manhattan headquarters of ABC, CBS, NBC, and The New York Times, according to CNSNews.com.

Media Research Center, Liberal, bias, ABC, CBS, NBC, New York TimesThe trucks, which headed out Friday, will keep trying to round up the strays for eight hours every weekday for four weeks as part of the center’s “Tell the Truth” campaign.

The center, which monitors the media for liberal bias and is the parent of CNSNews.com, has dispatched similar convoys to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area to pass the offices of the broadcast networks, The Washington Post, CNN, the Newseum, the National Press Club, and Politico. It also is running ads about the campaign on several websites and on conservative talk radio programs.

The campaign goal “is simple: to force the liberals in the media to stop pushing an agenda and just tell the truth,” Media Research Center President L. Brent Bozell III said.

The news media should report the facts about “massive growth in government and its control over our lives, and about spending, deficits and debt,” Bozell told CNSNews.com. “They also need to tell the truth about the efforts to turn our country into a European-style Socialist state.”
