The Tea Party Patriots are not going anywhere and will continue to battle for issues they feel the Republican Party has dropped the ball on, the group’s co-founder says.
“Our donations are going to continue increasing over the next several years because we have the ability to do what the Republican Party isn’t doing right now and that is to build the ground game,’’ Jenny Beth Martin told Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show.’’
“Donors have entrusted us with money — we’ve shown that we can be trusted, and we use it well."

Martin said the tea party’s role in future elections is vital because the Democrats’ Organizing for Action project, which rallies supporters of President Barack Obama’s legislative goals, is here to stay.
“It’s not going away. It’s just morphing into another organization and we’re the ones who can take that on,’’ she told Malzberg.
The tea party was ruffled this week by GOP policy advisor Karl Rove’s vow in the New York Times that his American Crossroads Super Pac group would work to protect incumbent Republicans from Tea Party challengers.
“It’s more of the same and it’s what we’ve been fighting all along. Our core values are fiscal responsibility and constitutionally limited government and free markets,’’ Martin said.
“The main problem in Washington, D.C. right now is that it’s the insiders and the ruling class and the people who have been there and made deals.
“They don’t want challenges from grassroots voters … That’s what it seems like [Rove] is doing yet again.’’
