Major League Baseball players will honor the 17 people murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School by wearing hats with the school's initials on the front, Sporting News reports.
Most of the teams will wear the hats on Friday, according to Sporting News. Players have the option of wearing them to practice or during Friday's spring training games. The Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers are off on Friday, but will wear the hats on Saturday, Sporting News reported.
The hats will be autographed by the players before going up for auction. The money raised will go to the Broward Education Foundation and benefit the Stoneman Douglas Victims' Fund.
Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo graduated from the high school and has urged the community to stay strong.
