The White House is preparing for a Senate trial on impeachment, but is not ruling out that House Democrats might not vote for articles of impeachment, according to Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump.
In an interview on CBS's "Face the Nation," Conway declared, "We're preparing for both eventualities."
She added it is "not clear right now" that it will "go to trial in the Senate."
"You've got a lot of Democrats wringing their hands," Conway said. "Many of those Democrats especially those in Trump districts have to go back home and say 'I know I promised to lower your drug prices, I know I promised to keep the great economy going . . . but we're impeaching the president.'"
"They're getting blowback for [impeachment]," she said. "Some are on record saying 'we don't know yet.'"
