President Donald Trump's counselor Sunday brushed off a dismissive description of her lawyer husband, George Conway — a frequent critic of Trump and his policies — as "Mr. Kellyanne Conway."
In an interview on "Fox News Sunday," Conway declared the president's mocking remark "doesn't affect me or my job at all."
"I've never been doing better personally or professionally," she said, adding: "I think the Mr. Kellyanne Conway comment – people describe my husband as Kellyanne Conway's husband more often than they described him by his first name.
"So, I'm sure the feminists are really cheering me on today, an independent, strong-willed strong woman in a very powerful position who disagrees with her husband."
George Conway, in a commentary for The New York Times last week, blasted the appointment of Matthew Whitaker as interim attorney general as "illegal" and "unconstitutional."
