"Squawk Box" host Joe Kernen didn't take well to a suggestion that former Vice President Al Gore be added to a list of people who have made the most impact on the world in the past 25 years.
When co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin made the suggestion on Tuesday's show, Kernen wasn't impressed.
Sorkin argued that Gore's global warming advocacy has had a noticeable impact on how businesses now seek to be "greener." Gore's impact is undeniable even if you disagree with his arguments, Sorkin said.
Kernan replied, "Yeah, if we put charlatans and villains on there," adding that if Gore made the list, so should Ken Lay and Bernie Madoff, who were sentenced to prison for fraud convictions.
