An Ohio community college adjunct professor is being investigated for a Facebook post in which he suggested storming "NRA headquarters and make sure there are no survivors," the Highland County Press reported.

James Pearce, who teaches summer term at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio, apparently was frustrated at the lack of legislative action on assault weapons when he posted to Facebook on June 13, one day after the massacre at an Orlando nightclub:

Two days later, according to the Highland County Press, Pearce's comments were reported to law enforcement.

On his Facebook Thursday, Pearce wrote that "It was suppose to be a joke, folks." However, he stated that, "Although, on second thought, I suppose it is possible that I may have planted an idea in the mind of some unbalanced person, and that was a foolish mistake. For that I do apologize."
