A new study has concluded the surge of illegal immigrants from Latin America will lead to hundreds of thousands being released – increasing the migrant population by about 10%, according to the Washington Examiner.
The Examiner attributed the information to an analysis by the Princeton Policy Advisors.
"We anticipate more than 700,000 migrants will successfully enter the country, increasing the unauthorized Hispanic population by nearly 10%," the analysis said.
The group's president Steve Kopits, in a memo given to the Examiner, said: "By year end, nearly 300,000 migrant children are expected to enter the U.S. Over time, these will show up in the U.S. public school system."
Kopits estimated over 1 million illegal immigrants will be apprehended at the border, with most getting into the United States while they await a hearing on their status.
