President Donald Trump plans to bring Hunter Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski to Thursday night's debate as a guest, Fox News reports.

Bobulinski, a retired Navy lieutenant, was also CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, which he told Fox News "was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family."

Bobulinski, who confirmed the authenticity of the emails on the purported Hunter Biden hard drive to Fox News, said Hunter Biden and James Gilliar brought him on as CEO of the company.

He added he does not believe former Vice President Joe Biden's past statements he did not talk about Hunter's business dealings, saying Hunter "frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals."

"I've seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business," Bobulinski said. "I've seen firsthand that that's not true, because it wasn't just Hunter's business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line."

Bobulinksi told Fox he believed the Chinese government's involvement was "political or influence investment" and "Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal piggy bank by just taking money out of it as soon as it came from the Chinese."

Though detractors have said the Hunter Biden laptop story is part of a Russian disinformation campaign, Bobulinski said he is not part of any such campaign. Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe earlier this week said there is no U.S. intelligence indicating such an effort by the Russians.

The Biden campaign has not commented.
