They'll be drinking water out of a bottle in the Cannon House Office Building for a period to come.
Politico first reported that lead levels in the building's drinking water are higher than they should be and are potentially unsafe, prompting an email warning to the congressional offices.
"This week, the (Architect of the Capitol) received results within the Cannon House Office Building that indicate lead levels in drinking water sources are slightly above the EPA standard," Politico quoted the email sent by building superintendent William Weidemeyer.
"Although the cause of the increase remains under investigation, in an abundance of caution all drinking water sources and office-provided water filtration units in the building will be turned off beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016."
