Veteran Hollywood screenwriter Joe Eszterhas says he plans to vote for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in November and is not shy about saying why in extremely blunt terms.

"Trump may be an [expletive] But, then, a choice between criminals and an [expletive], I'll pick the [expletive]," the outspoken author of such films as "Basic Instinct," "Flashdance" and "Showgirls" told The Wrap's Sharon Waxman.

Eszterhas used the same expletive for Trump in the past, once labeling him "[Expletive] of the Week" after the billionaire real-estate tycoon and Republican presidential nominee made fun of disabled New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski.

But he's more disdainful of Clinton, the presumptive Democratic Democratic presidential nominee — and says he has been since she was first lady during Bill Clinton's presidency.

"Many times, she referred to his presidency as 'our presidency.' And then even more recently, we had the thing about Bill Clinton's going to take over the economy of this country. I don't want him back in the White House . . . I think we're dealing with low-lifes and sleazebags."
