Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid suffered broken ribs and facial bones in an exercising accident at his Nevada home, his office said in a statement on Friday.
Reid, a Democrat, was taken to a hospital in Henderson, Nevada, for treatment after being injured when a piece of exercise equipment broke while he was using it.
His doctors expect him to make a full recovery from injuries and Reid, 75, plans to return to Washington this weekend, the statement said.
