President Donald Trump made a bold move by going after TikTok with an executive order on Friday, Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, R-Pa., told Newsmax TV.
"With TikTok, it's about time somebody protects the American people from these platforms. And we know that TikTok is taking all this data from individual's phones. It's a backdoor. So not only are they capturing the videos that are being taken, which are likely going back to mainland China, they're also getting access to all these apps, medical data, photos being taken on your phone, other videos ... banking information. That could be used against Americans in the future," Reschenthaler told Friday's "Spicer & Co."
