Dershowitz to Newsmax TV: Assange Indictment Could Be 'Setback' for 1st Amendment

By    |   Thursday, 23 May 2019 07:54 PM EDT

A new indictment lodged against WikiLeaks founder Juian Assange on Thursday could ultimately prove a "significant setback for the First Amendment," Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax TV on Thursday.

In an interview on "Newsmax Now," the author of "The Case Against Impeaching Trump," said "Assange is going to be the first person ever indicted for publishing classified material which he didn't himself steal."
