Attorneys for Fox News Chief Roger Ailes have filed papers to move his legal battle from New Jersey to New York, in an attempt to have the sexual harassment case proceed in arbitration, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Both attorneys for Ailes are well-known. John Quinn since 1987 has been the top lawyer for the organization that puts on the Academy Awards. Susan Estrich was the former campaign manager for Michael Dukakis' 1988 presidential run, becoming the first female to hold such a position.

Ailes faces a suit from former Fox News Channel host Gretchen Carlson, who says he asked her to have a sexual relationship with him after she complained her "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy was treating her with disrespect.

Ailes denies the allegations and says they stem from Carlson not having her contract renewed last month.

CNN reports that the legal moves by his lawyers now make it an open question which judge will hear the case, or if the case will be heard in any court at all.
