Obama Administration Violating Law in Delaying Nuclear Project

Tuesday, 13 August 2013 10:29 AM EDT

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has been violating federal law by delaying a permitting decision for the proposed nuclear waste project at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, a federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday.

A unanimous three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ordered the commission to promptly decide to license the project or reject the application.
