The audience for President Barack Obama's exclusive interview on ABC's "This Week" last Sunday totaled a meager 2.69 million viewers.
That represented the third exclusive TV interview of Obama's presidency, and it apparently sparked the least interest of the three,
Politico reports.
In the first interview, March 29, 2009 on CBS' "Face The Nation," Obama drew an audience of 3.7 million, including 1.4 million in the prized 25-to-54-year old demographic.
Then he garnered 4.21 million viewers, including 1.2 million in the key demo, for his Dec. 30, 2012 appearance on NBC's "Meet The Press."
Last Sunday, "This Week," which has recently made progress in its ratings, finished second in total viewers to "Face the Nation" and third in the key demo, beaten by CBS and NBC.
"This Week" registered a decline from the previous week both in total viewers and the key demo.
Another number dropping for Obama is his approval rating. His
Gallup three-day rolling average rating now registers 44 percent, down from 57 percent Dec. 19-22.
